Being a Salesforce Solution Architect, I love metrics and statistics. Infographics are also an awesome way to communicate lots of complicated information in an easy-to-digest format.
So when Forbes recently released some interesting metrics about working from home in 2023 (in the US), I felt the need to share them with you.
Here are some interesting numbers about employees who work from home (WFH):
- 46% admit to taking a work call in bed
- 18% have taken a work call while on the toilet
- 1 in 10 have worked naked
- 3 in 4 work in their pajamas at least one day a week
On the positive side:
- 81% reported it’s easier to eat healthily
- 39% think WFH has improved their mental health
When asked about returning to the office:
- 62% of remote workers say nothing would entice them to go back
- 50% would quit if forced to return

The takeaway
While I would never admit to working naked, there are definitely moments where I’m “webcam ready”. This means wearing something professional on top and wearing shorts or sweatpants.
