One of the largest advantages of being an independent Salesforce consultant is working from home. And of course, “home” doesn’t necessarily mean your residence.
It’s been a while since I went full digital nomad, so it’s time to change that! Starting in November, I’ll spend about 2 months in South America. The plan is to visit Panama, Columbia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Chile – and it’s open to changes.
One of the most enjoyable parts of trips like this is the planning. Lots of research is needed, to ensure your tech gear is ready for the challenge.
Today I’m sitting at a co-working space to test this gear.

If you’re curious, here’s the list:
- Dell XPS laptop
- Dell portable monitor (P1425)
- Logitech MX mini keyboard
- Logitech MX Anywhere mouse
- 3 stands (laptop, monitor, phone)
Propping up the laptop and 2nd monitor keeps my position more ergonomic. The 2nd monitor is a little low, but it’s hard to find a light stand that stands tall.
The takeaway
Are you taking advantage of being a Saledorce consultant and not working from home? I’d love to hear about your experience and gear.
