Here’s a followup to yesterday’s article about Salesforce MFA Requirements June 2026.

Implementation partners will also be hit hard, as it’s typical for multiple admin, devs, and consultants to all use the same user login to work.

Some people have called for Salesforce to provide free and temporary user licenses for these situations. I doubt Salesforce will listen.

There is a viable solution for teams though.

If you use a password manager, you can create a shared vault. Then you save the SF login and passkey into that shared vault, and add people to the vault.

I successfully did this with the free version of Bitwarden, which allows 2 people. AI tells me 1Password, Dashlane, LastPass, Keeper, and NordPass also have this functionality, but I don’t use them so I cannot confirm.

I’ve also updated the step-by-step guide to include steps when using a password manager.

The takeaway
If you’re not using a password manager yet, now’s a great time to start.
