Take a moment to look at your current desk setup. Which end of the spectrum are you in currently?
If it’s the former, consider investing some time to tidy up your desk, by removing clutter and unnecessary items. Recently it’s popular on YouTuber for people to who show off their “dream” desk setup. You’ll notice all of them have similar characteristics:
- A dedicated and relatively quiet space to work
- A clean desk
- Proper and indirect lighting
- A large main monitor
- A monitor arm, to hold up the monitor so you have even more desk space
- Good cable management
- A comfy and supportive chair
- A filing cabinet to store easily accessible items (pens, paper, chargers, etc.)
- Inspirational artwork on the nearby wall
- Plants, even if they are fake
