January through April is tax season for nonprofits. Between my nonprofit services and my app that allows nonprofits to generate tax receipts, it’s an extremely busy time of year.
Balancing workloads from multiple clients can be overwhelming. Here are some tips I’ve learned that may be able to help you.
- It starts with a positive mindset. Believe you can, and you will solve all of their problems. Believe you cannot, and you’re also right.
- Handle tasks in order of priority, and adjust that priority (as needed) when new tasks arise
- When focusing on a problem that doesn’t seem to have an obvious answer, take a break. Sometimes thinking less about work will actually allow your brain to solve the issue.
- Don’t lose yourself. Be sure to sleep well, eat well, and have small breaks. If you’re not 100%, you won’t be able to produce 100%.
- Enjoy yourself. Even in crunch time, you should be partially enjoying the challenge.
The takeaway
I’ve been neglecting these emails because I’m super duper busy.
