Being a Salesforce Consultant can be draining. Imagine working on multiple projects simultaneously and having to switch contexts multiple times a day.

I’ve discovered a life hack that allows me to keep efficiency strong throughout the entire day, and want to share it with you.

In the past, I would work on project A until failure (usually there was a block, or there was a meeting, or I was too tired) and then move directly to project B until failure.

But after a few of these switches, I was pretty much done for the day. And this was sometimes before lunch!

Now I insert a completely separate activity between the switches. So it’s project A, then do laundry, then project B, then clean the kitchen, then project C, read a few chapters in a book, etc.

By simply switching to an entirely different activity, one that uses a different part of the brain, I was able to recharge the project part of my brain.

The takeaway
Slice up your work schedule with completely different tasks. It’ll help you recharge without having to sit in front of the tv or doom scroll.
