As a Salesforce consultant, you’re normally not responsible for managing others.

Buf if you work in a team, you may need to delegate tasks to others, you may need to resolve conflicts, and you may need to coach new recruits.

Given this, let’s take a look at each of them.

Delegating tasks is great! If someone else can do the job almost as well as you can, then there’s no need to do it yourself. Save your energy for things only you can do.

However keep in mind they are teammates, not your royal subjects. So treat them with the same respect you would expect to receive.

You also may want to make sure they are capable of understanding the problem, and you may want to point them in the right direction. If there are technical restrictions, be sure they are informed.

Finally, remind them they can contact you if they have a problem and when they have completed the task. This isn’t about handing off something and then running in the opposite direction.
