Yay, it’s Friday!

That means we can eat, drink alcohol, and party all night, right? I mean, we have all day tomorrow to recover, right? Right?

While it is tempting to “let loose” on Fridays, it’s actually not very good for your overall health.

Drinking aside, severely altering your normal bedtime and morning routine wrecks havoc on your circadian rhythm.

In short, the more you stay consistent with when you go to bed and when you awake allows your body to get into a rhythm. I’ve noticed that when I’m relatively consistent for several days, I tend to wake up 5-10 minutes before the alarm starts.

And when your body is aligned like that, you’ll generally feel more rested and relaxed.

While it’s OK to party once in a while, understand the impacts it has on your body. The better rested you are, the better consultant you can be.
