This was my second World Tour in NYC, and I felt the energy to be slightly less intense than last year’s. I attended a couple of sessions about AI and nonprofits, and missed the keynote. But the main theme was basically “everyone can be an Einstein”.
To leverage the most of AI, you need data and metadata. For example, be sure to add values in the description field for all custom fields, and comments in each step of a flow.
This way AI can read this info and provide you with more relevant summaries.
I also co-hosted a theatre campfire session with Roger Mitchel called “Getting Started with Development”. We improvised all of the banter, and people seemed to really enjoy it!
The day after the World Tour was a smaller event for people in the nonprofit space. It was an opportunity to help community-lead projects, and was hosted at the Salesforce Tower.
I participated in the DLRS session. There’s a new version of the wizard coming soon, and a small group tested the interface. I helped by analyzing the wizard from a UX perspective, and found about 30 issues. With luck, most of these will be implemented in a future release.
The takeaway
The main reason to attend events like this is to network. Meeting and connecting with people in person is simply awesome. So if you have the chance to attend a Salesforce conference or Dreamin event, I highly recommend it!!
