Following yesterday’s email on At least three rounds of data migration, there is a scenario in which you need a fourth round.

This scenario occurs when there is a delay between the “final extract” from the legacy system and the go-live of Salesforce. During this delay, users may occasionally need to use the legacy system to maintain operations.

Ideally, these changes are flagged or recorded in some way, and the delta (the flagged changes) is imported as a smaller round of data migration.

There shouldn’t be a need to have a fifth round.
