LinkedIn used to be a good place for business. You could
- Read news related to your industry
- See what colleagues and associates are up to
- Share your knowledge to connect
- Find your next job
These days, with AI slop, LinkedIn has become a cesspool of low-quality information.
It seems not many humans actually post anymore, and they outsource connection building to a machine.
As a result, I’ve severely reduced posting there. What’s the point, given they will be swallowed up by billions of posts about nothing in particular.
A friend conducted an experiment. He posted on LinkedIn just how bad LinkedIn is these days. The result? The algorithm promoted it and it got tons of engagement. The irony.
The takeaway
Where do you go to promote yourself and learn from others?
