At Dreamforce this year, Salesforce officially announced AIforce.
As with most announcements, it’s not completely clear what Airforce actually is. But from what I’ve gathered:
- It’s an integration layer
- It allows CRM data, business logic, and security to be accessed by external AI environments (like Claudeforce and Slackforce)
- It uses APIs and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers
As consultants, we’ll see how we can leverage these capabilities. It seems to be more of a talking point to our clients rather than something you implement. Time will tell.
However the concept seems sound. AIforce is an AI version of APIs. The more we allow AIs to communicate with each other, the more powerful they become.
And we want AI to be powerful, right?
The takeaway
Although Salesforce is removing Agentforce from their product names, AI progress is still their main focus.
