Many years ago, I fell in love with the quote from Saint Augustine, “The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page”.
Traveling is one of the most rewarding experiences you can have.
- It opens your mind, challenges your spirit and awakens your soul. You start seeing life from a higher perspective. It becomes less about you and more about us.
- It pushes your comfort zone, which is where people grow the most and the quickest. After doing this several times, you’ll be surprised just how much you’ve expanded as a human being.
- It shows you that basically everyone in the world are good people, and want the same things in life: to connect, to love, and to pursue happiness. How they achieve these things will differ slightly, but the goals are the same.
Not many people have the opportunity to just stop working and travel full-time, so being a digital nomad is the next best choice.
You could live remotely for a month or two, half a year, or even a couple of years. Whether it’s in a van, or an extended getaway, or in a country that offers a digital nomad visa. And yes, it’s possible to do this with children, if you plan for it.
The takeaway
After a few years of restricted travel, now is a great time to expand your wings and say “yes” to being in motion. Experience the flexibility, the independence, and the sense of adventure!
