A colleague of mine was recently sharing a challenge he currently has with a client.
The client was picky from the start. They probably would have failed the dinner date test. But that’s ancient history now.
The discovery phase was successfully completed, and the client signed off. So the delivery team started building the solution. It was supposed to take 6 sprints to implement.
In sprint 4, the client freaked out. They wanted to change directions, to remove some stuff from scope and to add a bunch of new features into scope.
To add to the fun, the client’s senior management didn’t want to hear about increasing the budget or adding sprints. “Make it happen”, they said. “That’s what we’re paying you for!”
It’s clear that the project was past the point of no return. So what’s a Salesforce consultant to do? What would YOU do?
The takeaway
I will share my thoughts tomorrow. In the meantime, I’d love to hear how you would handle this challenge.
Don’t worry, I won’t steal your idea, lol.
