Documentation is often the last consideration in any Salesforce implementation. It’s tedious, requires constant revision, and most techies dislike writing.

Case in point: for my Salesforce app, clients have been steadily complaining about the lack of complete documentation. They appreciate that I’m always available to answer questions, but prefer a more self-serve option.

For the last year, I’ve been using Gemini Pro as my primary AI. It’s been very decent as a coder, but I never trusted it to write documentation.

I recently switching to Claude Pro, and the difference is instant. The code is noticeably better, and it gets to the solution much faster than Gemini.

So I asked it to write documentation, and wow! It’s incredible accurate because it reviews the code directly. It even taught me a few things about my app that I didn’t know (for example, that a particular field isn’t actually being used)

Claude definitely impresses me, and maybe even scares me a little bit.

The takeaway
If you’ve ever shyed away from documentation, use AI.
