Salesforce and Anthropic (the creator of Claude AI) have just announced a partnership.
Dubbed Claudeforce, the plugin will allow Claude users to write emails, update records, and perform several other (non-mentioned) actions in Salesforce. Additional functionality is expected in the future.
This looks like the first official application of headless Salesforce. As a reminder, “headless” means Salesforce will allow 3rd party agents to directly interact with Salesforce data, bypassing its user interface.
What’s also interesting about the article is that it mentions Salesforce shares are down 22% in 2026. And this is after dropping 20% in 2025.
It looks like investors aren’t as excited about Agentforce as Salesforce is.
